My computer will not boot when my external dvd burner is connected. If i...
...unplug it, it will boot? It will not boot if the dvd burner is connected , but when i unhook it,it boots with no problem. This would not be a problem, but the computer will not find the burner if it is not hooked up when in boots. It just started doing this. Any Ideas?

1. If your PC is pata, sometimes there are compatibility issues with SATA dvd burners on an ide computer.

2. If you've got your burner on a hub take it off the hub and plug directly into USB.

3. Your power supply may not be large enough to carry an external dvd burner.
