My CD and DVD Burning time has suddenly increased 4 to 5 times high. Why

does it happen? Im using Sony DVD RW DRU-190A. Usually it takes 5 or 6 minutes for burning a CD and 9 to 12 minutes for a DVD. Suddenly the burning time is increased by 4 to 5 fold. Now for burning a DVD (data nearly 4GB) it is taking 50 minutes. Can someone help me what could be wrong. Im using Nero 7 Essentials (i got it with the drive) for burning.

My system configuration is intel core2 duo 2.2GHz processor, intel 945GCNL mother board, seagate 160GB hard disk, 1 GB RAM.
