just built: "After Boot from CD/DVD: ", how long do i have to wait for it...

...boot the windows xp disc? I just finished building a computer, the BIOS was set to First Boot Device = CDROM" and the settings were saved.. it rebooted and it automatically goes to "Boot from CD/DVD:" then "_" on a new line.. and now I'm just waiting for it to do something... there's no error popping up or anything.. what do you think i should do to troubleshoot? or how long should i wait. it's brand new.. first boot..
i will try this and update you with what happened. thanks
