I just purchased a Compaq computer from Best Buy last month, and it came with a DVD/CD burner/ Lightscribe drive. Last night, however, I tried to burn an MPEG-2 movie from my hard drive to DVD and received a message stating "No DVD burner found." I tried using Windows DVD maker as well as Power2Go and received the message both times. I tried updating the device drivers, but it says that my drivers are up to date. I'm using Memorex DVD +R discs. Any ideas on what is wrong would be greatly appreciated.

does the burner support dvd+r?
make sure it's plugged in correct, power, cables, jumper - is it master or slave? look at all of this

re install the driver for it

Never buy a computer from Best Buy. Especially E Machines. Take it to the Geek Squad.
