    if you re-author on dvd shrink will it hurt the dvd?

    i am about to put a dvd onto my computer and i am suppose to Re-author it before i do that. It is my friends dvd so i do not want to hurt it or anything so will it do ANYTHING to the dvd?

    If you compress it to anything lower than 75% or so, you can see that it's not as "sharp" as the original. Use a dual-layer disk to preserve the contents.
