i have a video converter, but it cannot help me convert DVD to MKV...

Hi, here, I think you may make a mistake to distinguish the video converer and the DVD ripper/converter, most of the common video converter can not accpet dvd disc or file, if you hope to convert dvd to mkv, you need a related dvd ripper or converter and then you can do that.
