I just bought an HDTV, but my cable box doesn't have an HDMI outlet. If I
buy an HDMI DVD player.....? is there any way that I can set it up properly. My cable box does have an S-Video as well as an RS 232C hook up. With basic coaxil, the quality is actually worse than my tube TV? IF that doesn't work, what else can I do. Thanks in advance.
No that will not work. What you need is a new cable box that supports HD. HD requires a lot of bandwidth and HDMI cable is capable of transmitting that large bandwidth. Call the cable company and subscribe to HD and get a new cable box. Then use a HDMI cable and you will see the picture you wanted when you bought the TV.
