I have lost my (Microsoft) DVD that came with my computer.?

I have an error when I try to update. Microsoft support says to insert the DVD that came with it. What can I do! Is there another way to fix the problem without the DVD or do I need to try and get another one? Someone please help! Thank you so much for your time.

try to do a system restore if you can access window..if its not accessible then only way is to get another dvd..if you have the serial key,you could just copy your friends dvd (same exact os ) and use that...as long as serial key is genuine , the dvd can be used from anyones its legal

Call Microsoft and explain the problem. If you have the receipt from your computer purchase, have it handy when you call.
