I am thinking of purchasing a Sony RDR-HXD890 DVD/HDD Recorder......?
and I was wondering if it is possible to use this in conjunction with Sky+ to transfer stuff on Sky+ Hard Disk to the Sony Hard Disk (i.e like an archive) ?
I bought a Sony DVD recorder once and found it was some cheap brand with a Sony label on it. It never worked properly and after researching I found many, many people had the same problems as me. From that point on I decided never to trust Sony again.
i don't think it will work disk to disk but you may be able to go sky hdd to external hdd for archiving and then reformat to burn with DVD or PC. sorry this isn't a complete answer but may help a little, I'm not sure of your sky+ model #
