How to install Fedora 9 on a laptop with a broken DVD drive?
Is there any way to completely erase the hard drive and start fresh with Fedora 9 OS if the DVD drive is broken?

Probably not.

If you mean the CD ROM drive is broken, then no.

If you have both a DVD drive and a CD ROM drive, and the CD ROM drive is working, then it'll be fine..
