How do I use a DVD drive on my laptop to copy data to my desktop?

I just bought a brand-new game that is on a DVD-ROM. Unfortunately, the desktop computer that I want to install is on does not have a DVD drive. Fortunately, my MacBook does. Is there any way to pop the disc into my MacBook but put the data onto my desktop? I do not possess a USB cord, but I do have a wireless router (my MacBook is connected wirelessly to it and my desktop is physically connected with an ethernet cable) - is there a way to use my Mac's DVD drive for my desktop?
Exactly what do I do in order to make the connection with Hamachi? This would be most helpful if you could tell me how.
