How do I put pictures onto a Cd/Dvd?

So I just came back from a holiday, and have about 1200 photos on my digital camera.
I've uploaded them to my computer but I want to put them onto a cd/dvd so I can get them developed. What is the best way to go about doing this?

    I have DVD+R (4.7 GB) and CDR (700MB)
    1200 photos

Do I need to download a program or something.

It would be preferable to get all of the photos onto ONE Cd/Dvd.

    Thanks in advance.

here is a quick way for you to do that, First put in your blank DVD and most likely whatever is your default dvd reader will load up. (Windows Media Player, ect...) well you can use that program to burn the images by going to the burn tab. Once you are in the burn tab window, minimize the window to a smaller window and then click start, my pictures, (or where ever you have them) and go to the folder where you have the photos and drag them to the area where the burn location is for that program. then hit burn.
Now this is more simple. Click start, my computer, and you should see the dvd drive in this window. Minimize that window to a smaller window and click start, my pictures, and go to the folder that you want to burn, Drag the entire folder to the DVD drive icon. (which ever one that you try to do, make sure to drag the entire folder that contains the pictures you want to burn.)
