how do I know if my dvd drive can burn - or +?

It's an older computer, and I looked at the
    >properties>hardware
and it says HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS40 ATA Device
can DVDRAM burn -R or +R?
    Thanks~
the color will NOT be different,

and R means it can only be *read* AFTER it is initially written, RW means it can be written, erased, edited, etc.
    I'm talking about the + or -.
    -.-

most burners that came out within the last 10 years can write to either -r or +r. I honestly wouldn't worry about it
