How do I download HD videos from Youtube and burn them to DVD?

I finally got to download HD videos from Youtube using Youtube Downloader HD, but Windows DVD Maker won't let me burn them to DVD because they're AVI files. If I convert them to WMV, they aren't HD. Is there anything I can do at all?

    I don't understand...

if you just wanna burn your such YouTube HD video as a file on DVD, the DVD burner won't refuse to do so. Maybe you need to make a DVD movie with the HD quality intact?

Nope... I think only Blu-ray disc can support such 720p or 1080p high quality. Why not just burn the AVI file with YouTube HD quality directly. Certainly, kinda such DVD disc may not be recognized by some old DVD players. :-)

Use Video Download Helper and tell it to pick up the higher quality when downloading. Then use the dvd burner program. I use Dvd Flick because it can use many different file types such as flv.
