Does anyone know of any good freeware programs, that I can use to convert dvd to avi format? Everyone that I find is a trial version. And is restricted till purchase. If there is none available, I will have to buy one. Any links to any free stuff would be great. Cheers.

i googled it and i got a great free programme that does as it says it will,google converting files
called switch sound file converter

get any dvd (googled) and yes its a free trial but it is not an ulimited version it lasts for ever about 2 years and can convert to most formats for FREE
