    how come my laptop wouldnt show dvd driver on my computer?

    i cant open any dvd i put inside my laptop

    the OS is Vista

    well it could be a number of reasons.one maybe the cable connecting inside has got loose or something or even could be that u have disabled it by accident.

    i think its best u try to enable it from device manager.

    Problems with laptop drives r very common.
    Does the drive show up under Computer?

    If it does go to Control Panel & switch to classic view.
    Under Device Manager -> DVD/CD ROM Drive check if ur drive is in enabled and in good condition. U can try reinstalling the drivers.
    (click update driver s/w)
    Thats all u can do abt it anything else will void the warranty.
