Thread: How can I tell if the movie I want to order is a region 1 or 2 DVD on Amazon.com?

I want to order a movie on amazon.com.... How can I tell if it is a region 1 or 2 DVD? I had a mishap a few weeks ago with a movie I ordered thinking it was a region 1, when it was a region 2 which I couldn't play... Help!

It usually states the region in the "Product Details" section (often the fourth section on the product page). Just scroll down the page on any particular DVD you are looking at. Amazon even provides additional information on DVD regions to assist buyers.

Now if you are a huge movie watcher, you can purchase DVD players that are "Region Free" and will play all regions. But that aside, just look down the page and the "Product Details" will tell you.

It should say in the description of the product. You can also email the seller.
