my pops had me record his band playing and he wants to send it to several family members in mexico.

so we know how to make the original into a DVD with the DVD/VCR dubbing thing, but now we want to rip a DVD so we can edit it so we can add a title and everything so it can be kind of professional.

now tell me, how can i do this?

i'd like the software to be free
i'd also like the process to save it to my computer to be fast, but if there is nothing free, then tell me anything so we can purchase it, either way, we want it to be fast

so just tell me one- a free one and 2- one to purchase, but is very helpful.
