Thread: how can i burn dvds on windows dvd maker?

okay so i downloaded this movie from limewire and im trying to make it into a dvd through windows dvd maker. it's current format is mp4 but when i try to add a file in windows dvd maker, it wont go and it says unable to. do i need to change the format from mp4 to something else? what do i do?

Change it to an AVI. MP4 uses a codex type of MOV format associated with Quicktime.

After installation, select the "DivX" button at the top which will convert to an AVI you can use in Windows DVD Maker.

I'm guessing that you might need convert your mp4 to MPEG-2 format first (You can try this video converter - Daniusoft Video Converter), then you should burn dvds on windows dvd maker without any problems.
