How to Burn a DVD?

Ok I am desprate for some help to get this on a dvd.
I have a video in MPG4 format.
Im trying to burn it to a blank DVD+R disk.
I have downloaded and tried MANY converters, but I cant seem to get the video on my disk. I have been trying to figure it out for hours

If i need to convert again, then it has to be a FREE convertor. Please help me out and give me step by step directions. I know there's a way to do it, I am just so frustrated because I can't figure it out. Thanks a ton! 10 points for who ever explains it the best to me!!

You dnt need a converter you need a program that can encode the video. If you have vista, its free on there called
Windows DVD maker. You can also use nero. However this is a lengthy time consuming project.

Maybe you can't use that formatting, check again and make sure it accepts DVD+R not just DVD-R.
