im looking to buy a new dvd player and i need one that can read burnt dvds. how do i know if it can read them ? the one i have right now is a few years old and when i insert a burnt dvd it said "disc error". some of the dvd players im looking list a bunch of things that they can read like DIVX, WMA ect.. but i dont know if that means it can read the burnt dvds.

since those are not your regular dvd format it is a safe bet it will play burnt dvd's
