.dvd and .vob files?

.dvd and .vob files?

I have a folder that had some .vob files. But there was also a .dvd file (a file that associates with .vob files) outside of the folder. Should the .dvd file in in the same folder as the .vob files or should it stay outside?
At least I think a .dvd file is associated with .vob files.
