DVD drive doesn't work using Windows 7 on a MacBook Pro through Parallels Desktop 6.?

The DVD drive shows that a movie is in the drive but when I click to open it, it either plays the DVD at a fast speed and scrambled or says that it couldn't find the device or other warnings that result it in not playing. The drive works for CDs and software. It also works in Mac mode. Any advice how to fix this problem?
