    DVD burner specifications?

What kind of specs does a dvd burner need to have if I want to backup ps2 and xbox 360 games?

DAO96, Disc at Once burning capability -- spec 1996.
    RAW writing

Most current gen burners are capable of both, but you still need software capable of it, such as Alcohol120 or BlindWrite.

Even then, unless your console has a mod chip, it won't work. Even with a mod chip, you'll still probably have to keep the original disc handy. You may have to pop in your original to play past certain points, as the burned discs tend to be a bit glitchy. That is, with some games, the copies will freeze up at certain points. You can get around those by popping in the original disc and reloading. Once you get past that point, you can try with the copy again.
