read the subs on my dvd player? For a lot of movie i can find arabic subtitles online. Mostly in .srt format. And I can play these with the movie on my computer, so far no problems. But the troubles start when I burn this .srt file with the .avi file to play it on my Dvd player (I have one that plays divx an xvid). My dvd player doesn't recodnise the arabic letters (it does when i play a normal dvd with arabic subtitles). So the problem is with encoding of the arabic letters in .srt

If i burn othern .srt files (other languages , like English) I can watch the movie with subtitles on my dvd player without troubles.

Does anybody know how i could convert my arabic .srt files so that i can read the subs on my dvd player?
