My computer reads CD's, and on my CD Player there's only a 'Compact Disc', so that means that it doesn't read DVD's. Does anyone know how to make my computer read DVD's. If not, where can I buy a DVD player for my computer.

Yeah, they are cheap. You can get a crappy DVD burder for under $60. I buy from Microwarehouse. Good vendor.

No, there's no software fix for this. A cd reader only has one kind of laser in it. But a dvd reader/burner has to have another laser. So a cd player is just not able to read a DVD. The newer DVD burners have both kinds and can burn DVD+R and -R and +RW(rewritable) and CDs too.

CD drive cant read DVD. You can purchase DVD drive from ebay. Look for sony or asus.
