The DVD I want to watch does not come with the option of subtitles, however there is a closed-captioning symbol on the DVD box. My TV is set up for the captions to come on automatically, yet they will not show up when I try to watch this DVD. I am hard of hearing, so I would like to be able to see captions. Is there anything I can do about this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Closed captioning set on TV, but won't show on DVD, please help?

Check the startup menu on the DVD itself for the CC option when playing the DVD. It's probably a function of the disk rather than your TV.
