Thread: cleaned up my computers registery and now my CD/DVD drive does not show up! HELP!?!?

I recently used a registry cleaner to try and get rid of all the old gunky junk on my computer and now it runs hella fast and is amazing. however my DVD/CD rom drive no longer shows up when i go to MyComputer. How do i fix this? I put in CD's and nothing runs on my computer, all my other drives work and it spins the CD like it's reading it, but nothing registers on my computer. I have tried uninstalling and restarting to re-install my drive but that didn't work. I also tried putting back the backed up stuff the registry cleaner cleared out. I just rebooted my computer today and I really do not want to reboot it once again to get my drive back up and working again.

It means that the Computer Registry cleaner saw the CD/DVD Drive as a threat to the computer and removed it. Redownload it.
