    cd/dvd doesnt read empty (blank) disks?

    my cd/dvd RW drive isnt able to read empty dvds although it doesnt give me any error and it still can read dvds with stuff on them, and it still can read/write regular 700mb cds

    nope bryce not what i meant, i cant even write stuff on them

    You may have the wrong type of disc. That happened to me. There are 2 kinds: + or - . (That's plus or minus). If you look on the drive, you will see a plus or minus next to the DVD door. Make sure you buy the correct disks. The staff at Best Buy or Radio Shack or wherever you prefer for electronics can help make sure you have the right kind.
