Thread: Can you store DVD's on your ps3?

I was wondering if you can play DVD's on a PS3? If you can play them can you store them? If you can store the DVD's on the PS3 how many can you store?

if you make digital copies in divx or mp4 format you can store movies on the hard drive - I personally have 31 movies and some entire seasons of various tv series
how many you can store depends on the file size and how large your hard drive is
average size of a divx movie is 700mb to 1gb so if you installed a 500 gigabyte hdd in your ps3 you can easily have a couple of hundred movies and still have more than enough space for games , music etc.
