Can a portable dvd player be used as a hard drive for my net book/mini laptop

with no hard drive.? My net book doesn't even have a hard drive.I was wondering if my portable dvd player would work as a hard drive,If it can,how do I do It? Where would I get a cord to connect to my net book, and around how much will it cost to get EVERYTHING I need to make it work. Thanks!

Also, just out of curiosity, how big is an 80 gb hard drive? is that the one that holds the mini disks? And a 160 is the big disk right? Thanks!

No. It will not work. The DVD player does not have the ability to read and write data.

This is what you would need.
