i cannot use divx format in windows move maker no matter what?

for some reason, i cannot use a divx format video in windows movie maker, i downloaded and installed the codec at least 30 times and re-booted my computer at least 20, please help me
im lookin to make a video for youtube here ppl

use nero or convertxtodvd
