...and CDs? I have Xilisoft AVI to DVD converter which also burns DVDs and I have divX converter which will also burn DVDs in divX format. My dvd player will play both formats...so which will give me the better picture quality for when I upgrade my tv this christmas to a 720p HD? Yes, my dvd upconverts all the way to 1080p.

you should not notice much of a difference from the two. also just to let you know that if you get a tv 720p you will not get the 1080p quality even if your dvd player upconverts to 1080p because the tv is only 720p you will not be able to enjoy the beauty of a 1080 p tv
