I have a program call Divx and I love to watch movies on it because it gives me close to HD quality on it. However lately I've been having some issues on it. The actual player works fine, however whenever I try to go fullscreen a lot of issues pop up. First the black bars that normally are on the top and bottom of the screen aren't there, so instead you can see my background (for example the movie would be playing but instead of the black bars I would see the top and bottom of my web browser). Also I am not able to control my volume. It's like my whole computer freezes except the video keeps playing. The only way I can stop it at this point is if I use windows task manager to forcefully close it, but when I do so it cause my whole web browser to crash. So I'am not sure if anyone knows what this software even is much less how to use it, but if you can give me solution to my problem I'd be very grateful.
I use Divx player mainly online, through my web browser. Also I've had this same problem on three different web browsers (IE, firefox, Chrome). I also have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and nothing seems to work. I originally had no problem with it, and this problem seems to come out of the blue.

Try a different program to play divx encoded files (like VLC media player).
If it is streaming, update your browser and divx codecs.
