i need to know what types of treats to bring, what the prices should be on them, and the best spot to have a bake sale

Make sure you have a variety of small items and large items- anywhere from a baggie with a few cookies, to a whole cake or pie.

The prices depend on if the items are truly from scratch (higher price) or if you just use premade dough, or frozen pies (lower price).

Package them well- use colored celophane, curling ribbon, quality paper plates, etc. and you'll get more money.

If it's for a good cause, places like Wal-Mart or other grocery stores will often let you have your bake sale there. Or try at your church- you could sell the items as people leave church.

Cookies, brownies, fudge, cakes, pies.
Prices depend on whether you sell a whole cake or pie, or a slice. Cookies can be sold individually or by the dozen. Check prices in your local bakery or supermarket and sell just a little bit lower. A good place is in front of a busy store like a Walmart or something if they give you permission.
