Fresh meat is better but you don't have to cook it any longer. A nice slow cook will be great. I would say 325 till done! Good Luck!

depends how you like it... if you cook it like the first girl said you shouldn't spend the money on it because the purpose of a whole rib is to have the meat in a condition fitting what "rib" is supposed to be... other wise you should save the money and just buy an average roast. If you wish to cook it properly you should should use a gas oven and after the outside is seared to retain moisture... place the rib in the oven cold... turn it up to 500 and when the oven reaches the preheat temp... turn it all the way off and leave the roast in for about 45 to 50 minutes... no longer.. let sit for twenty minutes and serve. However, with the way I am guessing you act as to posting in a vegetarian section about cooking meat... I hardly believe you would have a job that would allow you to indulge in cuts of meat such as the rib... and although my career allows me to have things such as this.. again this is the vegetarian section and we don't eat meat. Here nor there... now you know how to properly prepare one. good luck.

Are you aware that you have posted this question in the vegetarian/vegan section? It really doesn't belong here.
