Honey substitute for a stir fry?

I'm making a stir fry which calls for honey except i dont have any left!! I really dont feel like going to the shops to buy some honey..what could i use instead? would sugar have the same effect or would it be funny tatsing?

Sugar would work fine. You'll have to a little more if you're measuring by tablespoon, since tablespoon for tablespoon, honey is sweeter. The final product won't have quite a nice rich flavour.

You might want to try brown sugar, if you have it. It goes quite well in most stir fries, from my experience.
