The dark side of PeTa?
Peta kills almost 90% of the animals they take in, in 2007 PeTa had a ONE PERCENT adoption rate, 1 out of every 100 animals they took in was adopted. While places like the ASPCA and Humane Society have always had very steady adoption rates around 80%.
some of these animals are badly injured and need to be put down, but a much greater percentage are perfectly healthy and adoptable. Peta is supposebly a non profit organization, but they rake in 30 million per year and spend little to none of that on the animals, most of it is spent on advertizing and hiring celebrities to do campaigns to reel in new blood. They stage videos, and use shock tactics that are particularly effective against vegans and vegetarians because many of them already have a strong bias regarding animal rights.
PeTa has been fighting the release of their "kill" records for over a year because they knew what would happen when the public and government got a hold of those atrocious numbers. But since PeTa is listed as a "non profit" organization they were forced to release them, their taxes also show that they spent over $10,000 on a walk-in-freezer that they use to hide the animals they kill. These government documents can be found online at www.petakillsanimals.com
PeTa does not even want anyone to have pets, no cats, no dogs, no fish, nothing.
They are even against blind people having lead dogs.
Blind Bastards, torturing those dogs!
People for the ethical Treatment of Animals is a group that would have you believe that its motivations are altruistic and pure - warm and friendly organization that exists only to help animals. It might have started out that way, but today nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is PeTA is Unethical. A closer look reveals that PeTA is nothing more than an extremist group that financially supports and aids arsonists, violent criminals, and terrorist groups. Yes, TERRORIST GROUPS, Peta donated over $40,000 to ALF in 2006, ALF is a known terrorist groups, who's leader at one point stated, "the only way we can draw attention to our cause is by blowing stuff up"
Peta's President has even stated that even if a cure for AIDS was found through animal testing they would be against it. How can anyone support and organization that would be against a cure that kills MILLIONS of people?
At the same time, PeTa's vice president has diabetes, she takes INSULIN shots, insulin is a medication that was derived through.... you guessed it, ANIMAL TESTING. how funny is that? So it looks like PeTa supports cure's and medications for various diseases found through animal testing so long as it helps their agenda, and helps keep them alive, but not if it can help people in 3rd world countries that need it so much more. go figure.
Do yourself a favor, support your local humane society, or the ASPCA. They actually get stuff done, and they do it the right way.
now you know.
