Thread: Can I not use cocoa powder in this recipe?

I want to try making the microwave Nutella cake in a mug but I don't have any cocoa powder. So calling to any of you bakers out there...is it possible to ommit the coca powder?! And maybe add more Nutella for it? Please help, thanks!><

No, no, NO!!! I do a lot of baking from scratch and I suggest you follow the recipe as it is. I know it may be a nuissance to go to the store to buy cocoa but that's just what you need to do. Nutella is brown but it's definitely not a substitute for cocoa. I think you would be disappointed it you made the switch. That cupcake looked to good to mess up. Just go to the store. That way you'll have cocoa for the next time you want to make it.
