what do you think of parents picking homosexuals as their kids God parents. Do these folks understand the meaning of God parent.
correct me if im wrong but isnt a God parent someone thats into Godly things for a lack of better or someone God fearing. I would think a homo is not. im not being judgemntal just curious. or is being a God parents some other requirement.

Godly things? Sure. Friendship in a lifetime is godly. Saintly being closer to the description. Doesn't have to mean god-fearing. Just a good person.

A godparent is one who accepts the responsibility of religious instruction for a child in the event the child's parents are unable to complete that child's religious upbringing. If it is okay in the parents' religion to be homosexual, then it might be acceptable for godparents to be gay. Personally, I would not name homosexuals godparents to my children. God bless you.
