What is your gay community like?

My community is very rather larger but not too large. Everyone knows who the top drag queens are and if we don't know everyone we do know OF them. We have small parties and then sometimes our local gay clubs host huge parties that are free for all of us. We help each other with pageants and get together and we all donate to our BAO shows and such. BUT the drama is unbelievable able!!!! One person lives with this person so we hate them Queens from this club hate the queens from that club. People who don't get along with other people are thrown out of bars and clubs. fights are started and rumors throw- all of this inside our gay community!! We have our ups and our downs- what about yours?!

My community is Birmingham Alabama USA

That sounds like the LGBT community in Jacksonville, FL too. It was alright.

Now I live in Southwest Michigan in a town with a population of about 2,500. It's not really near a big city, so there is no gay community here. Not that I know of anyway.

    Great question!

I live in Indonesia, it's a large patriarchy country predominantly by Muslim. Gay people aren't bashed here like in Iran, or even put to jail (Although some Muslim extremists are planning to), but we lost our right to be treated equally. Usual in patriarchy society.

Lesbians are very very uncommon. Most of them are butch. The gays? I hate the guys here. They are closeted drama queen. There is a saying in my country that gay people here are either: Will give up being gay and lie their life by marrying a girl, or become a senile fat guy who likes to talk dirty. Most of the gays are feminine and usually looking for a "sugar daddy".

Thankfully, I'm neither. I am an out, proud, and not feminine at all. That's why no gays wanted to date or even befriend me, because they are afraid of being known (since they are closeted). All of my friends are straight.

The Houston gay community is gross. The neigborhood it is in is full of male prostitutes roaming the streets. The bars are small and dirty...very low class. It is terrible. Dallas is the best place in Texas for the gay community...the people are friendly and the city is clean. The gay people in Houston are trashy drug addicts. It is a terrible place to live...it is also full of older perverts who are supposedly partnered up...but constantly cruising for young twinks.
