    Sexuality and Politics

What is your age, race, gender, sexual orientation and who do you want to win the presidential election?

I'm a 19-year old gay black male and I'm voting for Obama.

Read the question again, Lil' Kitty. I did so include my sexual orientation.

    I'm 25 years old. I'm a female, Hispanic. I’m bisexual.

At this point, I'm undecided. I supported Hillary Clinton, but obviously that's not an option anymore. I'm not sure about Obama. He doesn't have a lot of experience and he hasn't mentioned anything about GLBT rights. McCain is opposed to be gay marriage, but he supports the states right to decide and he stated he is against a federal amendment to ban gay marriage. Unlike Obama, at least he has openly spoken about the issue several times, clearly telling us his stance on the issue. I’m ok with states having the right to decide, it might take 100 years for all states to legalize gay marriage or civil unions, but honestly … I wouldn’t want to live in those states that legalize it last.

A few months ago (well, years now) I was extremely apposed to the war in Iraq and wanted it to end immediately ... I still am opposed to the war in Iraq, but the situation has improved, we are gaining stability and control in Iraq and the Iraqi government is improving. If we pull out immediately, it will simply be a disaster. McCain has guaranteed we will be out of Iraq by 2013. If I vote for him, I hope he lives up to that promise.

McCain is not a right wing conservative, he’s a moderate with some conservative leaning stances. Obama is the complete opposite, and I’m opposed to this nation becoming a socialistic nation of welfare and government hand outs like a lot of European countries. I’m still undecided, but leaning towards McCain. Obama will have to say something really good to spark my interest in him again.
