Parents 'OK' with me being gay on their terms?
I have a bad relationship with my family, they are religious and not open minded, while i read into things they sit at home and bitch. So they found out I was gay 7 years ago and well 6 years of hating me and saying I was the devil got boring for them and then eventually they said they are ok with me being gay and can accept me. However I am not allowed to bring a guy to their house, I cant tell anyone who knows them I am gay, I cant talk about gay related stuff to them at all, now this really annoys me cause its almost like they are saying they are ok with me yet arent, almost every phone call with my mother ends up with her saying "so have you got a girlfriend yet" and it annoys me like crazy. We have had several arguments but she always gets away with it because she says shes accepted me when imo she hasnt since she wants me to be a secret.
When my brother got a girl pregnant accidently she actually had the nerve to say "where one man fails in an area, another man makes up for it", its really difficult to work with her and I dont know if im being dramatic over the situation or is she just saying shes OK with me just to keep me talking to her?
I actually dont live with my parents, I moved out 5 years ago, it would be nice once in a while to introduce someone I care about to them, I dont know what the point would be. I just find it so annoying when im in a relationship and my boyfriends parents are great and I can never introduce my boyfriend to my parents.
I should have mentioned that the pregnant girl never said that comment, my mother did.
