Thread: My college (guy) roommate is gay! ahhhhh?

hey sup,first off, im straight. im in college and my roommate just recently came out of the closet. he's gay. well, maybe bisexual but thats besides the point. the point is he likes MEN! Anyways, i am a catholic and i DO believe that being gay is a sin BUT at the same time i will still be nice to him and show him compassion because i beleive that is the right thing to do.

Anyways, i feel really weird around him now. i always had my suspicions he was gay (he is a high maintnence pretty boy, hangs out with girls a LOT, and watchs MTV... and he's 18!)

So, i feel really weird like changing or walking around in my boxers or anything. I just need some advice about how to go about the rest of the year.

Well, I understand how you would feel. But......I'm gay, and I used to have a roomate whom is a strict catholic as well, and he knows that I'm gay and he is totally fine with it.

This whole awkwardness exist because you feel like he is a stranger to you.

After me and my friend become roomate, we committed to get to know each other. And after that, the awkwardness disappear.

I'm Catholic too and I share the same view.. but if you think about it.. It's just like picking a random girl and a random guy out of a bag and putting them together. The chances of you liking the girl in "that" way are pretty slim.. right?
