Why not invite gay people to your meeting and just treat them like you treat everyone else? All sin is equal (I only say this because you think being gay is a sin) and you are judging gay people buy assuming they do not know Jesus. Standing in judgment is also sin. Being gay is not just about sex, a lot of us are just like heterosexuals; we are well educated, have families and a stable marriage. Many of us attend Church every Sunday, pray and love God just as much as you do.
The answer to your question............why should we open our doors to you if you refuse to open yours without attaching strings?

God bless you and remember, JESUS loves everyone! Invite us in and let us serve the Lord our God, you will be amazed as to how God can use us too.

    Yeah, I think it is.

It would be just like Christians denying a pro-homosexual ad.

If you think about it, if you were able to force them to put stuff in their publications about your ministry, then they (and other groups) would be able to put stuff that you might disagree with in yours.

Don't get me wrong - I'm a Christian. I just know I don't want any outside influences diluting the word of God.

And I guess the opposite side feels the same concerning their secular world view.

Post an ad on craigslist.org advertising your prayer meetings in your area. It is free!!!!

    Good luck with your ministry!

Is it legal for a gay magazine to refuse to run a Christian AD?

I am affiliated with an ministry in my church reaching out to our gay brothers and sisters in the local community. We are trying to start a group where we would invite gays and lesbians to prayer meetings.(Where we would have prayer partners praying in marathons to blanket them in with the power of prayer) I paid for an AD in a local gay magazine because that is the only way I can think of to notify the local gay community about this ministry but now the magazine is saying they will not run the AD. They are refunding my money but is this even legal?

Yes, it is. Why wouldn't it be? The people who own the magazine do not have to print anything they don't want to. Start your own magazine if you want to print whatever you want.

It's not illegal, they probably have the right to refuse the service on grounds of better opportunities elsewhere and such, you should try to talk them explain that you want to help gays reconcile with any lost faith, you're not trying to change them , just offer support
