Thread: I'm attending my very first "gay" potluck and I'm nervous?

My friend has invited me to his friend's potluck tomorrow. I don't do well in crowds. I'm gay and most of the people that will be attending this potluck are gay guys. I'm very nervous around crowds period and meeting new people. Any tips?

What are you taking? Well, buddy, just calm yourself down with good, relaxing music and tell yourself how good a person you are. Drink Chamomile or Linden tea (they are relaxing).
Once in the party just keep a not too deep conversation going.
I met my present life-partner in a party. You might get lucky and get more than just your empty dish back.
