Thread: IF I am pregnant by a gay male?

If I'm pregnant by a gay male, and I give this baby to them to raise can the spouse adopt this baby with my concent and blessing? We live in Indiana and We intend to get a lawyer but just interested to see if anyone has done this?
We do want them to adopt and not have me on the birth cert.

You will be on the birth certificate regardless of whether you give the child up for adoption or not. You can choose to give the child up to his father, but the state may not allow his partner (if male) to adopt. You could get around it by adopting the child to his partner, but then you, as the two natural parents would be giving up your rights as parents. You probably need to have some kind of contract done in which case you need a lawyer asap.

I doubt that they can keep you off the birth certificate but some
states don't reveal birth parents names.

That Tara girl is horrible. I'm not sure where gay adoption is legal in the US, but I know it is in all of Canada.

I think that is very awesome. I believe that it is possible, but you do need to find out more from your lawyer. Good luck with everything.
