I really want to become a Ranger or Special Forces, but I worry that they'll find out that I'm bisexual and either DQ me before I join, or even worse, dishonorably discharge me.
I know that with Don't Ask, Don't Tell, the military has the tendency to discharge you at the mere SUSPICION of homosexuality. I'm really straight acting, and military men are not my type, so people shouldn't have any reason to suspect, but I'm really worried about it coming up in a background check.
I've only had 2 boyfriends, and I haven't seen or heard from them in years. None of my girlfriends had any idea that I was bisexual.
Any advice/comments/suggestions. Please don't insinuate that being bisexual would make be unfit to be a soldier because that's BS.
BTW, I'm perfectly fine with keeping this to myself throughout my military career.
I should also mention, that I want to go through OCS to become a Ranger or SF officer.
