Thread: How To Tell People You Are Bisexual?

I have a homophobic father, and a homophobic friend, with a maybe homophobic best friend. I don't know how to tell them. >.< Every time I try, I lose my nerve because I think that they'll hate me since I'm bisexual. Any advice on how to come out to homophobic (maybe) friends and parents?

"Coming Out" is an over-rated melodramatic myth created and perpetuated by the media. Who says you have to tell anyone? Is it really their business who you choose to sleep with?

I "came out" in my thirties, long after I had moved out of the house since I didn't want to deal with all that crap, but everyone needs to do these things in their own way, on their own time table. If all your loved ones are indeed "homophobic", maybe now is not the best time for you.

Just say it straight up.
If they hate you because your Bi, maybe they're not your real friends after all!

And don't let them bring you down or change you.

Step one. Convince them that being gay is okay. Or at least try.

Step two. If they are truely your friends, it should not matter (as long as you don't like them?) because your love life has nothing to do with yalls friendship.
