Thread: How many of you veterans or soon to be soldiers are gay in the military?

I have a couple friends...Is it hard trying to hide it?

More power to you. Be sensible (don't "flame" around the base), but don't feel ashamed of what you are. My close friend's ex-boyfriend was a soldier (gay, obviously). I know there are a fair number. Don't worry...just as blacks were finally recognized as human beings and given their rights, gays will be too.
